I'm taking Amtrak down to Portland for INRC. A ticket costs $50. Business class costs $12 more. And we all got travel awards, so someone else is paying for it. I think I'm the only person in the lab who got the upgrade... including my PI.

In my defense (if such is necessary), I did save 10% by using my AAA discount.
